Message area:	5 lines.
Reverse side:	Blank.
Colours (text & form):	Black on cream.
Size of form overall:	193 × 222 mm.
Size of datestamp box:	28 × 46 mm.

Distinctive characteristics of this form:

heading is slightly modified to Post Office Telegraphs in line with the Victorian wording;
has lines for message rather than the previously used boxes;
the main distinctions amongst the three formats are:
1A: centre line ends with "Message" and line under message ends with TASMANIA;
1B: centre line ends with "from", there is a form number in the top right corner and the line under message ends with AUSTRALIA;
1C: centre line ends with "from" and there is no form number in the top right corner.

Note: there is an ambiguity in classifying these three formats in order.

The order below starts with 1A having the forms with TASMANIA below the message lines.;
AUSTRALIA replaces this word but it is only the first two forms with form number T. No. 8.;
Format 1C forms are all known with earlier date stamps;
Format 1C forms have serrated left sides like their Colonial predecessors.
