the main distinctions amongst the four varieties are:
3A: no TELEGRAM above the Interim period heading;
3B: NOTE at left: 2nd line has 9 words and begins SENDING STATION ..;
3C: NOTE at left: 2nd line has 4 words and begins RECEIVED AT ..
3D: NOTE at left: 2nd line has only 3 words: AT THIS OFFICE;
3E: NOTE at left: 2nd line has only 3 words: AT THIS OFFICE but the lines for the message are strong.

	TI-DO-3A. Launceston to Stanley. 21 April 1909. Characteristics: no word TELEGRAM above usual 2-line Interim period heading; very dark blue printing; "NOTE ..." at left - 2nd line starts "Sending Station...";
	TI-DO-3B. Launceston to Burnie 28 January 1911. Characteristics: TELEGRAM now included above usual 2 line Interim period heading; "NOTE ..." at left - 2nd line starts "Sending Station..."; 11 lines in message area.
	TI-DO-3C. Hobart to Launceston 13 June 1916. Characteristics: "NOTE..." at left - 2nd line starts "received ..." and message shortened to four words ending with "...Office"; message area unlined.
	TI-DO-3D. Koonya to Hobart 21 June 1913. Characteristics: "NOTE..." at left - 2nd line starts "at ..." and has only three words; has 9 lines in message area plus one for sending details (sometimes faint). Has a very scarce date stamp for Hobart (diameter 30 mm).
	TI-DO-3E. Hobart to Hamilton. 9 September 1916. Characteristics: has three words in 2nd line of vertical text at the left; has strong lines in the message area.
