Transmission form used at Brickfield Hill with the message sent to New York on 12 December 1974.

 

The telegraph charge was $4.40 for 22 words and it was paid by $1 Lambert and four 10c 1974 Christmas with the $3.00 balance of the franking in 6c orange QE2 on the reverse side (see below).

IAA-TT-8B piece Although not a complete form, this piece shows the use of one of the TT-8B Overseas Telegram transmission forms.

The characteristics in the heading box confirm this form as being TX 47.

Nice franking used at Caulfield East on 6 May 1975. The form would have been illegally obtained and this piece torn off for the vaue of the stamps (insignificant compared to the value of the intact form).

Used at Balgowlah for transmission to Canada
(22 August 1978).

Cost for 42 words was $8.40. A $2 Heysen landscape is affixed to the front. For the remainder of the payment, see below.

Characteristics:

  • Authority name has been removed from the reverse printed heading - probably because this printing was made at about the time of the changeover in 1975 to Telecom.
