Ship to ship telegraphy.

Telegrams could be sent from a passenger on one ship to a passenger in another. Such communication was viewed very positively - one was never out of touch. Also refer to a range of Marconi forms elsewhere.



Message sent to Australian cricketer Bill Johnston while he was aboard the S.S. Strathaird sailing to England to play in the 1948 Ashes series as part of Donald Bradman's exceptional team now referred to as "The Invincibles".

The mesage had been sent from the S.S. Orion.
