General characteristics:

Heading and notes:	Form number TG 42C (sheet) or TG 42D (roll) while the matching delivery envelopes were both T.G. 65D.
Message area:	Blank.
Reverse side:	Blank.
Colours (text & form):	Blue, yellow, red and green on cream.
Size of form overall:	(Sheet): 153 × 202 mm; (roll) 140 × 215 mm. (Envelopes): 90 × 146 mm.

Distinctive characteristics of this form:

• form has a slightly different image from the envelope;
• accompanied by matching window and opaque delivery envelopes;
• the main distinctions between the varieties are:
  Forms:
  F-35A: sheet format with form number TG 42C;
  F-35B: roll format for teleprinter with form number TG 42D;
  Envelopes:
  E-35A opaque window envelope (two form numbers);
  E-35B: window envelope without a border.
• publicity included magazine advertisements and a small brochure.
  

 This design was introduced for Christmas 1935 and remained available until New Year of 1939.

Phoenix Auctions March 2014 Lot 1529.	AB-GXF-35A. Toorak to Oakleigh (24 December 1936). Characteristics: sheet format; form number is T.G. 42C; COMMONWEALTH ... and POSTMASTER ... are printed in either green or red.
	AB-GXF-35B. Sydney to Melbourne (CTO 24 December 1935). printed on a roll (as can be seen by design at top and bottom and the tough separation. form number is T.G.42D; COMMONWEALTH ... and POSTMASTER ... are printed in red.
	AB-GXE-35Aa. Unused opaque envelope. Form number is T.G. 65D.
	AB-GXE-35Ab. Unused opaque envelope. Form number has been changed to T.G. 65E. Some small formatting differences from GXE-35Aa - for example the relative placement of form number relative to YEAR below.
	AB-GXE-35B. Unused window envelope (form number T.G. 65D). No border around the window.
	Advertisement for the 1935 issue of the Xmas and New Year Greetings telegrams. Published in Walkabout (1 December 1937) while the design was still current.

A brochure was also printed to advertise the availability of the 1935 Christmas Greetings forms. This brochure was inserted into various delivery envelopes and also distributed from Post Offices. Click on the image for the details.
