Distinctive characteristics of this form:

opaque delivery envelope;
has Pacific Cable Board logo at left and CABLEGRAM to right of centre;
reverse side has reference to using VIA PACIFIC on flap.

Sold at Phoenix Auctions 2013. The cover had previously sold for $3,200 +GST + commission at Prestige Philately in June 2005 Lot 1213.	IAP-EC-1B. Norfolf Island via Sydney to Vila, New Hebrides. Used Cablegram delivery envelope. printed 'CABLEGRAM' & The Pacific Cable Board pictorial (globe) imprint in red; NSW 5d tied by a characteristically poor 'NORFOLK ISLAND/NSW' cds; a very fine strike of a double-oval 'THE PACIFIC CABLE BOARD/NORFOLK ISLAND/12APR1907/STATION' in violet on reverse; 'R' in oval handstamp and Sydney backstamp; endorsed in crayon upon arrival "try/Burns Philp/Sydney". An important and rare registered cover despite being slightly soiled and having a repaired tear on the upper edge.
