  1. printed 'CABLEGRAM' & The Pacific Cable Board pictorial (globe) imprint in red;
  2. NSW 5d tied by a characteristically poor 'NORFOLK ISLAND/NSW' cds;
  3. a very fine strike of a double-oval 'THE PACIFIC CABLE BOARD/NORFOLK ISLAND/12APR1907/STATION' in violet on reverse;
  4. 'R' in oval handstamp and Sydney backstamp;
  5. endorsed in crayon upon arrival "try/Burns Philp/Sydney".

An important and rare registered cover despite being slightly soiled and having a repaired tear on the upper edge.
